Ингредиенты

  • 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3/4 c. minced onion
  • 3 x garlic cloves finely minced
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 can no-salt-added tomato sauce - (16 ounce)
  • 1 can tomato paste - (6 ounce)
  • 2 x bay leaves
  • 1 tsp dry oregano leaves
  • 1 tsp dry basil leaves
  • 1/2 tsp dry marjoram leaves
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 8 ounce uncooked spaghetti cooked, liquid removed,
  •     and kept warm

  1. Heat oil in large saucepan. Add in onion and garlic. Cook and stir 5 min or possibly till onion is tender. Add in water, tomato sauce, tomato paste, bay leaves, oregano, basil, marjoram, honey and pepper. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  2. Remove and throw away bay leaves. Measure 2 c. sauce; reserve remaining sauce for another use. Serve sauce on pasta.
  3. This recipe yields 4 servings.
