this is a wonderful fall and winter treat although I have made it in the spring and summer...loved by everyone...a long family tradition .. I have tweaked it a bit to my liking...enjoy it...we sure do every time I bake it

Ингредиенты

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup almond oil
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 jar 16 oz. of organic apple sause ( or your homemade )
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons cloves
  • 2 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • Mix dry ingredients together.....then mix apple sauce & boiling water add all together and mix well....
  • bake at 350 in greased floured buntz pan for 50-60 min
  • reduce heat to 300 for last 20 min. Clean toothpick means it is done..
  • Moisture Tip:..... wrap very tight in foil immediately after you take out of oven...keep wrapped in air tight container....
  • You can sprinkle with powder sugar but this only adds calories..it is just fine with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.... yikes ice cream...what about the calories ? (:
