Ингредиенты

  • 2 Tbsp. Peanut oil
  • 5 lb Duck cut 8 serving pcs
  • 2 Tbsp. Bayou Blast see * Note
  • 1 x Carrot diced
  • 1 x Onion diced
  • 1 x Turnip diced
  • 8 whl Garlic cloves unpeeled
  • 1 lrg Baking potato diced
  • 4 c. Chicken or possibly duck stock
  • 2 x Bay leaves
  • 2 x Thyme sprigs
  • 2 Tbsp. Flour

Инструкции

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a dutch oven or possibly large roasting pan with cover, heat oil over medium-high heat. Season duck pcs with Bayou Blast,then add in to pan, skin-side down, and sear till well-browned, about 5 min. Turn pcs to meat side and add in carrot, onion, turnip and garlic cloves; saute/fry, stirring gently, 2 to 3 min. Add in potatoes, stock, bay leaves and thyme and bring to a boil. Cover pan and transfer to oven; bake one hour.
  3. When duck is tender, remove pcs to a warmed serving dish and set aside while you prepare sauce. In a small bowl whisk flour with 2 Tbsp. water and add in to liquid in roasting pan. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring, till sauce thickens. Pour over duck pcs and serve.
  4. This recipe yields 3 to 4 servings.
