%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20has%20been%20a%20busy%20day%20and%20I'm%20very%20late%20for%20the%203rd%20day%20post%20for%20BM%23%2034.%20I%20was%20busy%20prepping%20for%20the%20Thanksgiving%20party%20and%20also%20finishing%20up%20the%20necessary%20shopping.%20Weather%20was%20lousy%20today,%20gloomy,%20cold%20and%20rainy%20--%20totally%20uninspiring%20and%20dull.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20planning%20to%20make%20one%20of%20Sapana's%20Chole%20recipe.%20I%20had%20already%20soaked%20the%20chickpeas,%20but%20by%20the%20time%20we%20came%20back%20from%20shopping,%20we%20were%20starving%20and%20I%20didn't%20have%20time%20to%20cook%20the%20beans%20and%20make%20the%20curry.%20Instead%20I%20made%20this%20quick%20to%20make%20Seviyan%20Pulao.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20make%20semya%20pulao%20often,%20but%20the%20addition%20of%20tomato,%20garlic%20masala%20paste%20is%20new%20and%20added%20lot%20of%20flavor%20to%20the%20pulao.%20Also%20using%20carom%20seeds%20in%20tempering%20is%20a%20different%20element.%20It%20tasted%20great%20and%20we%20had%20a%20filling%20lunch.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%20Serves%202~3%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMethod:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGrind%20tomatoes,%20green%20chilies,%20ginger,%20garlic%20and%20cilantro%20into%20a%20smooth%20paste.%20Set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20using%20regular%20vermicelli,%20dry%20roast%20vermicelli%20until%20golden.%20Set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%201tbsp%20oil%20in%20a%20pan;%20add%20carom%20seeds%20and%20once%20the%20seeds%20start%20to%20splutter%20add%20the%20chopped%20onions%20and%20curry%20leaves.%20Cook%20until%20onions%20are%20translucent.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20mixed%20vegetables%20and%20cook%20until%20tender.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENext%20add%20the%20ground%20paste,%20red%20chili%20powder,%20ground%20coriander,%20garam%20masala,%20turmeric%20and%20salt.%20Cook%20till%20the%20masala%20doesn't%20smell%20raw%20anymore,%20about%204~5%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%202%20cups%20of%20water%20and%20bring%20to%20a%20boil.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20roasted%20vermicelli%20and%20cook%20until%20water%20is%20absorbed%20and%20vermicelli%20is%20tender.%20Serve%20hot%20and%20enjoy!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELets%20check%20what%20my%20fellow%20marathoners%20have%20cooked%20today%20for%20BM%23%2034.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
