.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHere%20it%20is.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20cleared%20out%20the%20big%20bramble%20patch%20in%20the%20main%20part%20of%20the%20woods.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOn%20the%20far%20side%20of%20the%20woods,%20there%20were%20more%20brambles%20-about%2030%20feet%20wide%20going%20the%20entire%20width%20of%20the%20property.%20%20I'm%20about%202/3rd's%20done.%20%20This%20is%20what's%20left%20-%20it's%20about%2060%20feet%20deep.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20think%20I'll%20save%20it%20for%20a%20special%20treat%20next%20spring....%20Too%20many%20snakes%20this%20time%20of%20year%20and%20too%20much%20other%20work%20that%20needs%20to%20be%20done.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20the%20record%20-%20the%20snakes%20are%20mostly%20harmless%20but%20the%20high,%20heavy%20rubber%20wellies%20I%20have%20to%20wear%20to%20protect%20me%20from%20the%20odd%20viper%20are%20too%20hot%20now%20that%20the%20weather%20is%20warming%20up.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI've%20also%20been%20clearing%20out%20the%20small%20trees%20and%20low%20branches%20in%20our%20little%20woods.%20I%20only%20have%20this%20left%20to%20do:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20it's%20done%20it%20will%20look%20like%20the%20bit%20on%20the%20left%20of%20this%20photo:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20need%20to%20be%20able%20to%20walk%20through%20it%20so%20I%20can%20spray%20the%20special%20bramble-be-gone%20I%20found.%20%20Oh%20-%20that's%20the%20next%20project%20on%20the%20list....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20would%20never%20spray%20a%20weed%20killer%20around%20food%20-%20but%20I'm%20more%20than%20happy%20to%20kill%20the%20brambles.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EToo%20bad%20I%20can't%20buy%20bunnie-be-gone.....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20little%20rascals%20are%20determined%20to%20get%20into%20our%20front%20garden.%20%20Every%20day%20there%20are%20new%20holes%20in%20an%20attempt%20to%20get%20under%20the%20fence.%20%20So%20far%20they%20haven't%20done%20it.%20Does%20anyone%20know%20what%20makes%20the%20fluff-balls%20so%20damned%20determined?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'm%20determined%20to%20to%20have%20more%20fun%20with%20puff%20pastry.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMon%20mari%20should%20be%20getting%20the%20grills%20out%20this%20weekend,%20in%20the%20meantime%20I'm%20a%20bit%20bored%20with%20winter%20cooking%20and%20have%20decided%20to%20play%20with%20my%20food.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20I%20already%20had%20some%20cr%C3%A8me%20fraiche.....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2%20tbs%20Parmesan%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20any%20of%20the%20scallops%20are%20huge,%20cut%20them%20in%20half.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20oil%20in%20medium%20skillet%20over%20medium%20heat.%20Add%20shallots,%20garlic%20and%20saut%C3%A9%205%20minutes%20or%20until%20tender.%20Add%20shrimp,%20scallops%20and%20saut%C3%A9%20until%20done,%20about%205%20minutes%20-%20shrimp%20curl;%20both%20shrimp%20and%20scallops%20become%20opaque%20(white).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20shrimp,%20scallops%20and%20keep%20warm.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20chicken%20stock%20to%20pan%20and%20bring%20to%20a%20boil.%20Dissolve%20cornstarch%20in%20sherry.%20When%20stock%20is%20boiling%20add%20cornstarch/sherry%20to%20pan%20and%20stir%20constantly%20until%20thickened.%20Remove%20from%20heat%20and%20add%20the%20creme%20fraiche%20and%20fresh%20herbs.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EReturn%20shrimp%20and%20scallops%20to%20pan.%20Stir%20to%20coat%20well.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPuff%20Pastry%20Shells%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20sheet%20puff%20pastry%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUsing%20a%20bowl%20as%20a%20guide,%20cut%204%20circles,%204%20-%205%20inches%20(10%20-%2012cm)%20in%20diameter.%20Place%202%20circles%20on%20a%20nonstick%20baking%20sheet%20and%20poke%20holes%20in%20the%20center%20with%20a%20fork.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECut%20the%20center%20out%20of%20the%20other%20two%20circles%20leaving%20a%201%201/2%20inch%20(4cm)%20ring.%20%20Place%20the%20ring%20on%20the%20big%20circles%20-%20to%20build%20up%20the%20edges.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20the%20smaller%20circles%20on%20the%20sheet%20next%20to%20the%20big%20ones%20-%20as%20'caps'.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20any%20other%20bits%20you%20like....%20I%20hate%20to%20waste%20puff%20pastry....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20them%20at%20400F%20(200C)%20for%209%20-%2011%20minutes%20until%20properly%20puffy%20and%20golden.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20Serve:%20Spoon%20half%20of%20the%20Seafood%20Newburg%20into%20to%20each%20shell.%20sprinkle%20with%20Parmesan%20and%20garnish%20with%20the%20'cap'.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDid%20I%20mention%20that%20I%20truly%20despise%20brambles?%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
