Ингредиенты

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • Sliced Almonds
  • Almond Icing:
  • 1 cup sifted powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract
  • 3-4 tsp milk

  1. Mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt
  2. Set aside
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter until softened
  4. Add the sugar
  5. Beat until fluffy
  6. Add to the flour mixture
  7. Beat all together
  8. Add the egg and the almond extract
  9. Blend all together
  10. Divide the dough into four equal parts
  11. Form each one into a 12 inch roll
  12. Place two of the rolls 4 to 5 inches apart on a non-greased cookie sheet
  13. Flatten the dough so it is about 3 inches wide.
  14. Repeat with the last two rolls
  15. Brush with the milk
  16. Sprinkle with the sliced almonds
  17. Bake at 325 F for 12 to 14 minutes
  18. Edges should be slightly browned
  19. Cut into 1-inch diagonal strips while the bars are still warm
  20. Cool and then drizzle with the almond Icing
  21. Almond Icing:
  22. Stir together the powdered sugar and the almond extract.
  23. Add the milk to make a thin consistency
  24. Drizzle over the bars
