Makes a good starter and a delicious snack which is healthy too, here it goes ;
Ingredient:
- 1 cup semolina (suji, rawa)
- 1/2 cup mixed vegetables
- 1/2 cup thick curd (yogurt)
- 1/2 tsp. chilly powder
- 1 green chilly sliced
- 1 tbsp. coriander leaves
- a pinch of asafoetida
- 1 tsp any fruit salt
- salt as per taste
- 1/2 tsp sugar
Method: Dry fry the semolina till it is light brown in colour, take off the heat and let it cool. Assemble vegetables you want to add. Carrot, corn, peas and beans goes well with this savory cake recipe.
Soak semolina in the yogurt for 10 minutes.
Take a big vessel add the fried semolina and add salt, sugar, chilly powder, green chilly, coriander leaves, asafoetida and fruit salt (eno) powder. Mix it well.
Now add 1/2 cup of vegetables and yogurt and semolina in the above mix. Add little water if the mix is too dry but don’t make it runny.
