- Clean mushrooms. Remove stems and chop small into a large bowl. Brown sausage; cold and break into very small pcs into same bowl. Add in bread crumbs and poultry seasoning. Mix thoroughly and stuff into mushrooms, quite high. Place 1/4 lb. butter and stuffed mushrooms in pan (can add in wine to butter). Place pat of butter to top of each mushroom. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 3/4 hour. Baste before serving.
