  • 1/2 pound bacon
  • 2/3 c. finely minced onion
  • 1 (28 ounce.) can tomatoes, liquid removed
  • 1 (27 ounce.) can sauerkraut
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar

Инструкции

  1. In large skillet fry bacon over medium heat till crisp. Drain on paper towels; crumble and set aside. Add in onion to drippings in skillet. Cook 3-5 min, stirring often till lightly browned and tender. Drain on paper towels.
  2. In large bowl, combine tomatoes, sauerkraut, brown sugar, bacon and onion. Turn sauerkraut mix into 2-qt casserole. Cover and chill at least 4 hrs or possibly overnight. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake, uncovered, for 45 min.
