Ингредиенты

  •     A small piece of trassi
  • 4 x Fresh red chilies, (4 to 5)
  • 1 x Green chili
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Soft brown sugar
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) lemon or possibly lime juice

Инструкции

  1. Wrap the trassi in foil and grill till it darkens, or possibly bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for a few min. Remove the seeds from the chilies and chop finely. Lb. or possibly process the trassi and chilies with the other ingredients till you have a smooth paste. Store in a jar in the refrigerator for a few days.
  2. Variations: For Sambal Asem, add in an extra tsp. sugar and 5-10 ml (1-2 tsp) tamarind concentrate. For Sambal Kemiri, add in 10 dry roasted and grnd candlenuts.
