For a fantastic burst of flavors try this Saigon Burger next time you grill.

I dare you to tell me that a burger is just a burger. Yes, ground beef patties are relatively the same. However, we all know It’s the toppings or the sauces that make ground beef the burger sensations they are.

This one is exactly that. Combining, mint, Thai basil and cilantro as toppings in addition to the ginger glaze is what causes that explosion of flavor in your mouth.

It happened to us when we grilled these. In fact, we loved them so much I made some for lunch the very next day.

I am almost hesitant to try a burger any other way.

I said almost.

1 lb ground beef 85/15 1 lb meatloaf mix 2 Tablespoons kosher salt 1 cup shredded lettuce (such as Iceberg) ½ red onion, thinly sliced Thai basil leaves cilantro leaves mint leaves English Muffins (or your favorite bun of choice) GINGER GLAZE: ¼ cup prepared ginger 3 cloves garlic, chopped 2 Tablespoons sweetener (I used SugarLeaf ½ cup soy sauce 2 Tablespoons toasted sesame oil

Form beef into 8 patties. Brush the patties on both sides with the glaze. Place over the hottest part of the grill and cook until they release easily from the grill, then turn over, brush with more glaze, and continuing cooking. 3 minutes per side for very rare place each English Muffin open on a plate. Spread Mayo on both sides of the buns. Then place ¼ cup shredded lettuce, a few slices of red onion, and a few leaves of Thai basil, cilantro, and mint on the bottom of each bun.
