Sage Cheese Butter

I love seasoned butters. This one, combining sage with Parmesan cheese, has a good body and flavor to it.

  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh sage OR 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley OR 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes

  1. In a small bowl, beat the ingredients with an electric mixer set at medium speed until they are light and fluffy.
  2. Cover the bowl and let the butter stand for 3 to 3 1/2 hours to give the flavors time to blend.
  3. Refrigerate, well-covered, for up to 3 days if you have used fresh herbs, and for 1 week or so if you have used dried herbs.
