%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20I%20will%20get%20to%20the%20recipe%20now.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20had%20made%20this%20Rosh%20Bora%20during%20Diwali.%20With%20my%20hand%20and%20shoulder%20slowing%20recovering,%20I%20could%20not%20resist%20the%20temptation%20to%20make%20a%20few%20sweet%20and%20savoury%20snacks%20this%20time.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMade%20everything%20in%20less%20quantities%20but%20clicked%20some%20hurried%20photos,%20hoping%20to%20post%20them%20on%20Kichu%20Khonn.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWho%20knows%20when%20I'll%20be%20able%20to%20make%20some%20again.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENeed%20:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETake%20a%20deep%20pan%20and%20put%20in%20the%20water%20and%20the%20sugar%20and%20keep%20on%20low%20heat%20till%20it%20starts%20boiling.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECrush%20the%20green%20cardamoms%20and%20add%20in.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EKeep%20stirring%20and%20boiling%20till%20the%20sugar%20dissolves%20and%20the%20syrups%20cooks%20well%20....%20say%20around%20for%205%20minutes%20after%20the%20sugar%20dissolves.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20do%20not%20need%20to%20thicken%20the%20syrup.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20make%20the%20Boras%20/%20dumplings%20:-%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeat%20the%20Urad%20dal%20batter%20with%20a%20fork%20to%20make%20the%20batter%20a%20little%20fluffy%20and%20incorporate%20some%20air%20into%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20want%20to,%20you%20can%20add%20a%20pinch%20of%20baking%20powder%20...%20I%20did%20not.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20coconut%20and%20the%20crushed%20black%20peppercorns.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20enough%20oil%20in%20a%20deep%20kadahi.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EScoop%20out%20small%20balls%20of%20the%20batter%20and%20drop%20them%20carefully%20into%20the%20oil.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20cannot%20make%20perfect%20balls%20...%20I%20use%20a%20spoon%20to%20pick%20up%20and%20drop%20the%20batter%20....%20hence%20the%20imperfect%20shapes.%20:-)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EKeep%20the%20heat%20on%20low%20and%20fry%20them%20till%20golden%20brown%20in%20colour.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDunk%20them%20into%20the%20warm%20sugar%20syrup%20and%20let%20them%20soak%20in%20for%20a%20while.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20is%20one%20of%20my%20very%20few%20favourite%20sweets%20....%20though%20I%20do%20not%20make%20it%20very%20often.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20can%20serve%20them%20both%20warm%20or%20room%20temperature.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEnjoy!!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
