I can’t really explain to you why I waited so long to shop at the Berkeley Bowl. It’s less than 30 minutes from where I live. I had visions of grandeur. Basically, it’s a super supermarket. Their produce, meat, and fish departments are huge. Along with many many organic products, their shelves are stocked with hard to find items. If you could have been there to watch Jennifer from Peanut Butter and Peppers and I ogling at all the produce and unique items, you would have laughed. I think food bloggers are the only ones who plan a play date with their friends to visit supermarkets, and farmer’s markets.

We spotted all kinds of produce like there was no tomorrow. I had been wanting to try celery root fries for a while now. Using a spiralizer makes it super easy to cut up that hard root veg.

With just a few ingredients, pop it in the oven and viola’ shoestring fries. The perfect fit for my teriyaki burgers.
