%20of%20the%20Chef%E2%80%99s%20Pick%20options.%20%20Sadly%20MOST%20of%20the%20ones%20I%E2%80%99d%20wanted%20to%20try%20weren%E2%80%99t%20here.%20%20Small%20town,%20what%20can%20I%20expect.%20%20But%20I%20did%20pick%20up%20the%20Chicken%20Marsala%20and%20the%20Ranchero%20Braised%20Beef.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFirst,%20the%20chicken%20marsala.%20%20As%20you%20can%20see%20from%20the%20box,%20this%20is%20a%20beautiful%20dish%20in%20its%20base%20form.%20%20I%20know%20something%20about%20staging%20and%20food%20photography%20and%20this%20is%20something%20Lean%20Cuisine%20actually%20has%20always%20done%20well%E2%80%A6making%20what%E2%80%99s%20supposed%20to%20be%20in%20the%20box%20LOOK%20appealing.%20%20But%20hint%20hint.%20%20This%20thing%20is%20only%20220%20calories%20and%206%20grams%20of%20fat.%20%20That%20dish%20you%20see%20there%20is%20about%20the%20size%20of%20a%20saucer%20from%20a%20tea%20set.%20%20Again,%20this%20is%20expected.%20%20It%E2%80%99s%20part%20of%20that%20restricted%20calorie%20thing.%20%20But%20what%20about%20what%E2%80%99s%20inside%20the%20box?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUm,%20yeah%E2%80%A6this%20is%20not%20what%20the%20picture%20looked%20like.%20%20Not%20really%20anything%20they%20can%20do%20about%20that.%20%20It%E2%80%99s%20part%20and%20parcel%20of%20the%20whole%20microwave%20dinner%20phenomenon.%20%20%20%20So%20I%20grabbed%20a%20salad%20plate%20and%20scooped%20it%20out%20in%20an%20effort%20to%20see%20if%20I%20could,%20in%20any%20way,%20replicate%20the%20picture.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EClearly%20there%E2%80%99s%20WAY%20more%20gravy%20in%20this%20box%20than%20they%20used%20in%20the%20shoot,%20and%20I%E2%80%99m%20fairly%20certain%20there%20was%20more%20risotto%20in%20the%20shoot%20than%20is%20in%20the%20box.%20%20But%20I%E2%80%99m%20not%20really%20grading%20them%20for%20presentation.%20%20I%20do%20not%20expect%20to%20eat%20a%20frozen%20dinner%20with%20my%20eyes%20first.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20what%20about%20the%20most%20important%20question:%20How%20did%20it%20taste?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%E2%80%A6shocked.%20%20This%20was%20truly%20delicious.%20%20I%20had%20no%20idea%20it%20was%20possible%20to%20pull%20chicken%20out%20of%20the%20microwave%20that%20was%20this%20moist%20and%20flavorful.%20%20The%20flavor%20combinations%20tasted%20fresh%20and%20very,%20very%20appealing.%20%20The%20portion%20size%20is%20still%20only%20enough%20to%20feed%20a%20half%20starved%20pixie,%20but%20pair%20it%20with%20a%20big%20green%20salad%20or%20another%20veggie%20and%20you%20might%20actually%20have%20a%20solid%20lunch.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20for%20the%20Ranchero%20Braised%20Beef.%20%20Same%20kind%20of%20thing.%20Pretty%20on%20the%20box.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENot%20so%20much%20on%20the%20inside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETiny%20portions,%20though%20a%20bit%20more%20filling%20than%20the%20chicken%20marsala.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20flavor%20here%20wasn%E2%80%99t%20bad.%20%20I%20really%20enjoyed%20the%20chipotle%20mashed%20sweet%20potatoes%20(I%20love%20the%20combination%20of%20chili%20powder%20with%20sweet%20potatoes%20in%20general).%20%20The%20beef%20didn%E2%80%99t%20fair%20quite%20as%20well%20as%20the%20chicken%20in%20the%20reheating%20department,%20though%20it%20still%20was%20better%20than%20such%20things%20usually%20are%20in%20a%20frozen%20dinner.%20%20I%20didn%E2%80%99t%20find%20this%20over%20spicy,%20though%20some%20people%20might.%20%20There%20are%20no%20jalapenos%20in%20the%20box,%20in%20case%20you%20were%20worried.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20verdict:%20%20I%20think%20Lean%20Cuisine%20has%20really%20upped%20their%20game%20with%20this%20line.%20%20Much%20better%20flavor,%20much%20better%20texture%20and%20quality%20of%20food.%20%20Kudos%20for%20that.%20%20My%20only%20gripe%20is%20that%20it%E2%80%99s%20not%20enough%20food%20for%20me.%20%20Never%20has%20been.%20%20This%20is%20a%20snack,%20not%20a%20meal,%20IMO.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDisclosure:%20I%20have%20partnered%20with%20%20Lean%20Cuisine%20%20through%20DailyBuzz%20Food%20to%20help%20promote%20their%20new%20line%20of%20Chef%E2%80%99s%20Pick%20products.%20I%20have%20been%20compensated%20for%20my%20time%20commitment%20to%20work%20with%20this%20product.%20However,%20my%20opinions%20are%20entirely%20my%20own%20and%20I%20have%20not%20been%20paid%20to%20publish%20positive%20comments.%20Thank%20you%20%20Lean%20Cuisine!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
