My husband and I found ourselves back in the South once again when I got an invite to try out a new vegan café in Alabang. Not wanting our gas and toll expenses to go to waste, we then grabbed the chance to have another unplanned and spontaneous staycation in one of the hotels in Alabang. I’ll reserve both stories on separate posts, but for now, allow me to tell you about our recent gastronomic discovery.

)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20were%20immediately%20attended%20by%20one%20of%20the%20servers.%20She%20was%20very%20helpful,%20and%20she%20gladly%20accommodated%20all%20our%20questions%20regarding%20their%20menu.%20It%20took%20us%20a%20while%20to%20decide%20what%20to%20get%20because%20we%20kept%20on%20smelling%20the%20ramen%20of%20our%20seatmates.%20The%20aroma%20was%20just%20so%20inviting,%20it%20made%20the%20decision-making%20so%20difficult%20for%20us.%20Haha!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EShoyu%20Ramen%20PHP350%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20husband%20settled%20with%20Shoyu%20Ramen%20which%20is%20soy%20sauce-based.%20I%20read%20from%20their%20menu%20slash%20place%20mat%20that%20they%20boil%20the%20pork-bone%20soup%20for%2012%20hours!%20That%E2%80%99s%20probably%20why%20their%20stock%20tastes%20so%20rich.%20I%20had%20a%20few%20sips%20and%20bites%20of%20hubby%E2%80%99s%20ramen.%20It%20smells%20good.%20It%20looks%20good.%20And%20it%20definitely%20tastes%20so%20good!%20It%20has%20that%20distinct%20nutty%20flavor%20which%20I%20am%20guessing%20is%20from%20the%20sesame%20seeds.%20The%20meat%20is%20very%20tasty,%20too.%20Hayyyy!%20I%20died%20and%20went%20to%20ramen%20heaven!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBecause%20I%20love%20anything%20spicy,%20I%20went%20ahead%20and%20settled%20with%20the%20Tantan-Men%20Ramen.%20It%20has%20sesame%20paste,%20ground%20pork%20and%20lots%20of%20chili%20oil.%20I%20noticed%20that%20the%20noodles%20they%20use%20for%20their%20ramen%20are%20thicker.%20Because%20of%20this,%20the%20pungent%20flavors%20of%20my%20ramen%20got%20to%20stick%20with%20every%20strand%20of%20noodle.%20Thicker%20noodles%20mean%20bigger%20surface%20area%20for%20the%20flavors%20to%20permeate.%20I%20have%20to%20agree%20with%20how%20the%20menu%20described%20this%20ramen.%20%E2%80%9CIt%20is%20quite%20delicate,%20yet%20bold%20and%20spicy%20at%20the%20same%20time.%E2%80%9D%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETantan-Men%20Ramen%20PHP380%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20also%20got%20gyoza%20because,%20uhmmm,%20well,%20there%20is%20gyoza%20in%20the%20menu!%20There%20are%205%20pieces%20of%20gyoza,%20and%20I%20engulfed%203%20pieces%20in%20no%20time!%20Hahaha!%20The%20gyoza%20is%20perfectly%20cooked%20with%20a%20generous%20amount%20of%20tasty%20filling.%20It%20was%20the%20perfect%20way%20to%20clean%20my%20palates%20after%20eating%20something%20as%20spicy%20as%20the%20Tantan-Men%20Ramen.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGyoza%20PHP150%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EService%20was%20surprisingly%20very%20fast%20during%20our%20visit.%20We%20were%20out%20of%20the%20restaurant%20in%20less%20than%20an%20hour%20after%20we%20arrived.%20Food%20is%20incredible!%20So,%20let's%20make%20this%20official.%20My%20husband%20agreed%20as%20well%20so%20this%20is%20a%20unanimous%20decision.%20Sorry,%20Ramen%20Nagi!%20You%20have%20been%20dethroned.%20=)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERamen%20Yushoken%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMolito%20Mall%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMadrigal%20Ave.,%20Muntinlupa%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAll%20opinions%20expressed%20here%20are%20my%20own.%20Just%20because%20something%20worked%20for%20me%20does%20not%20necessarily%20mean%20that%20it%20will%20work%20for%20you%20too,%20the%20same%20way%20that%20I%20don%E2%80%99t%20post%20selfies%20just%20because%20everybody%20else%20is%20doing%20it.%20Everything%20on%20this%20blog,%20unless%20otherwise%20stated,%20belongs%20to%20me.%20Plagiarism%20is%20stealing.%20And%20the%20Bible%20made%20it%20clear%20that%20thou%20shalt%20not%20steal.%20=)%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
