Рецепт Raspberry-Yogurt Smoothie – Friday Refresher
Let's say it's Friday night and you've just finished eating a take-out dinner because you weren't in the mood to cook after a long week of work. One take-out dinner during the week never hurts. It's when you bury your fork into an equally calorie-packed-sugar-laden dessert that the nutritional train wreck happens.
What’s required in this situation is a smoothie intervention. That’s when you push the dessert aside, get the blender out and start whipping up your favorite smoothie. If you don’t have a favorite you can give this Raspberry-Yogurt Smoothie a try.
There’s more than enough sweetness from the raspberries and honey to satisfy your sweet tooth and it’s packed with nutrition, which will at least make up for a portion of the not-so-healthy food you may have consumed for dinner.
I’ve personally experienced a smoothie intervention and can tell you that having a healthy smoothie on Friday will make you feel way less guilty when you indulge in the desserts on the weekend. It’s a beautiful thing!
What smoothie would you choose for a smoothie intervention?
Hip Cooking Tip: Instead of using grated lemon zest, try using grated orange peel.
Song Pairing: I was originally going to pair this smoothie with Raspberry Beret by Prince but I thought with an intervention the goal is to forget about something you don't want to do. It got me thinking of a lobotomy for some strange reason, which is why I'm pairing this smoothie with Green Day's cover of Teenage Lobotomy.
