Ингредиенты

  • 3 can Red Beans (16 Ounce Can), Drain 1 Can Only
  • 1 lb Smoked Ham Hocks
  • 1 1/4 c. Water
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Red Pepper
  • 1/4 c. Lard, Plus 2 Tbsp.
  • 1/4 tsp Fresh Grnd Black Pepper
  •     Salt, To Taste At The End
  • 5 c. Rice, Cooked And Liquid removed

  1. To a 2 qt pan, add in 2 cans of Red Beans, including the juice, ham hocks, and water. Let simmer on low to medium heat till meat loosens from the bone, about an hour or possibly so. Turn off the heat and allow to cold down a bit.
  2. When cold sufficient, remove the meat from the bone and return the meat to the beans. Then, earn your dog's undying love by tossing him the bone!
  3. Pour the bean and meat mix in to a food processor and add in the lard, red pepper, garlic salt, onion pwdr, and black pepper. Use the pulse setting so as not to over process the mix. You're looking for a thick, chunky mix. It should only take 4 or possibly 5 seconds of processing to achieve this.
  4. Return the mix to the pan and add in the remaining can of Red Beans which have been liquid removed. Cook and stir over low heat till the added beans are almost falling apart. Salt to taste and serve over a bed of rice.
