,%20a%20few%20Disney%20princesses,%20Superwoman,%20and%20the%20daughter%20of%20the%20Mad%20Hatter.%20And%20now%20she%20wants%20to%20just%20stay%20home?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo,%20I%20have%20done%20what%20any%20self-respecting%20mother%20would%20do%20in%20this%20situation;%20I%20bought%20her%20the%20coolest%20Halloween%20costume%20I%20could%20find.%20A%20full-length%20witch%20costume%20complete%20with%20striped%20stockings%20and%20a%20pointy%20hat.%20Thankfully,%20the%20momentary%20break%20in%20childhood%20is%20over%20and%20our%20daughter%20is%20once%20again%20excited%20about%20donning%20her%20costume%20and%20collecting%20her%20loot.%20We%20have%20dodged%20a%20bullet%20this%20year.%20We%20skated%20on%20the%20edge%20of%20no%20longer%20having%20little%20kids,%20but%20having%20big%20kids%20instead.%20I%E2%80%99m%20glad%20we%20have%20avoided%20the%20inevitable%20for%20now.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20seal%20the%20deal%20of%20the%20Halloween%20celebration,%20I%20pushed%20aside%20my%20self-imposed%20candy%20restrictions%20and%20whipped%20up%20a%20batch%20of%20some%20pretty%20amazing%20Halloween%20chocolate%20bark.%20It%E2%80%99s%20got%20all%20of%20the%20things%20I%20would%20hope%20to%20find%20in%20the%20bottom%20of%20my%20kids%E2%80%99%20trick-or-treating%20pillowcase%20plus%20a%20few%20extras.%20It%E2%80%99s%20a%20salty/sweet%20match%20made%20in%20heaven%20perfect%20for%20any%20witch%20or%20zombie%20that%20stops%20by.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChocolate%20Halloween%20Bark%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInstructions%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20medium%20saucepan%20over%20medium%20heat,%20melt%20the%20bittersweet%20chocolate%20chips%20stirring%20constantly%20and%20making%20sure%20that%20the%20chocolate%20is%20warm%20but%20not%20hot.%20Pour%20the%20chocolate%20onto%20a%20foil-lined%20baking%20sheet%20and%20spread%20into%20a%2012x10%20inch%20square%20using%20a%20rubber%20spatula.%20Sprinkle%20the%20candy%20bars,%20Reese%E2%80%99s%20pieces,%20pretzels,%20nuts,%20and%20candy%20corn%20over%20the%20chocolate%20making%20sure%20that%20each%20piece%20adheres%20to%20the%20chocolate.%20Lightly%20press%20on%20the%20pieces%20if%20needed.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20small%20saucepan%20over%20medium%20heat,%20melt%20the%20butter.%20Stir%20in%20the%20marshmallows%20and%20cook%20until%20melted.%20Drizzle%20the%20marshmallow%20over%20the%20chocolate%20bark%20with%20a%20spoon%20in%20a%20zig%20zag%20pattern.%20Place%20the%20tray%20in%20the%20freezer%20for%2010-15%20minutes%20(or%20in%20the%20fridge%20for%2030%20minutes)%20or%20until%20the%20chocolate%20solidifies.%20Cut%20the%20bark%20into%20irregular%20pieces%20and%20serve!%20Store%20in%20an%20airtight%20container%20in%20a%20cool%20spot%20for%20up%20to%20a%20week%20(if%20it%20lasts%20that%20long).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.1%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ehttp://eatinonthecheap.com/2015/10/22/chocolate-halloween-bark/%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
