Pumpkin-White Chocolate Brownies

OK.
Do brownies have to be chocolate?
Do they have to be rich and gooey and delicious?
Let’s just say “No” to the former and a big “YES” to the latter.
I started decorating for Halloween today (yes, I am late), and I started to set out my only two pumpkins from the garden. I picked them in August and they have been chillin’ on the kitchen floor ever since.
The Mammoth Gold is on the left and I cannot remember what the other variety is.
The goblins must have been at it, however, because when I picked up the largest pumpkin (a Mammoth Gold variety), I noticed that it was getting a little soft on one side.

,%20and%20I%20started%20to%20set%20out%20my%20only%20two%20pumpkins%20from%20the%20garden.%20%20%20I%20picked%20them%20in%20August%20and%20they%20have%20been%20chillin%E2%80%99%20on%20the%20kitchen%20floor%20ever%20since.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20Mammoth%20Gold%20is%20on%20the%20left%20and%20I%20cannot%20remember%20what%20the%20other%20variety%20is.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20goblins%20must%20have%20been%20at%20it,%20however,%20because%20when%20I%20picked%20up%20the%20largest%20pumpkin%20(a%20Mammoth%20Gold%20variety),%20I%20noticed%20that%20it%20was%20getting%20a%20little%20soft%20on%20one%20side.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20was%20fated%20not%20to%20be%20a%20decoration%20but%20to%20get%20roasted%20in%20the%20oven.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERoasted,%20collapsed,%20and%20ready%20to%20scoop%20out%20and%20puree.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20marvel%20yielded%20over%2012%20cups%20of%20pumpkin%20puree.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20put%20lots%20in%20the%20freezer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20made%20Avanika%E2%80%99s%20original%20pumpkin-sage%20cupcakes%20(see%20my%20last%20post)%20%20with%20part%20of%20it%20and%20I%20wanted%20to%20try%20something%20a%20bit%20different.%20%20%20I%20had%20not%20been%20to%20Martha%E2%80%99s%20site%20in%20a%20really%20long%20time%20but%20since%20Avanika%20pulled%20her%20recipe%20from%20there%20(and%20it%20was%20soooo%20gooood)%20I%20decided%20to%20mosey%20on%20over%20and%20look%20for%20more%20pumpkin%20recipes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20found%20another%20keeper:%20%20Pumpkin%20Chocolate%20Chip%20Squares.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20know%20I%20can%E2%80%99t%20leave%20well%20enough%20alone.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20I%20swapped%20in%20white%20chocolate%20instead%20of%20semi-sweet%20chocolate%20chips.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20results%20were%20out%20of%20this%20world!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20make%20my%20Pumpkin-White%20Chocolate%20Brownies,%20just%20add%20one%20bag%20of%20white%20chocolate%20morsels%20and%20leave%20out%20the%20chocolate%20chips.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDid%20someone%20break%20my%2012%20x%209%20baking%20pan?????%20I%20had%20to%20use%20to%209%C3%979%20pans.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20turned%20out%20quite%20delicious%20but%20a%20bit%20crumbly.%20%20%20They%20really%20reminded%20me%20of%20a%20%E2%80%9CKnobby%20Apple%20Cake%E2%80%9D%20that%20my%20mom%20makes.%20%20%20(Apple?%20%20Pumpkin?%20%20%20I%20know%20they%20are%20totally%20different,%20but%20this%20really%20reminded%20me%20of%20that%20apple%20cake.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20so%20much%20for%20that%20healthy%20eating%20trend%20I%20started.%20%20%20%20%20But%20hey,%20I%20am%20taking%20more%20than%20half%20of%20them%20to%20work%20with%20me%20and%20hiding%20them%20far%20away%20from%20my%20office%20in%20the%20lounge.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELike%20Loading...%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
