- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup canned pumpkin
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup nuts
- Glaze is optional
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2-3 tsp. milk

- In a large bowl mix together butter, sugar, eggs and pumpkin with a wire whisk. Stir in flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and pumpkin spice. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts into batter, spread into greased 9 X 5 in. pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-65 min. or until cake tester comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 min. then turn out onto wire rack.
- Prepare glaze in small mixing bowl, stir powdered sugar and milk until smooth and thin enough to drizzle over loaf. Let glaze set up before slicing.
