%20bloggers.%20%20So%20here%20it%20goes!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20a%20Girl%20Scout%20Leader%20for%205%20years%20during%20Liv's%20elementary%20school%20days.%20%20I%20had%20over%2025%20girls%20pass%20through%20our%20troop%20over%20the%20years%20and%20watching%20these%20girls%20grow%20up%20has%20been%20one%20of%20the%20most%20rewarding%20experiences%20that%20I've%20ever%20had!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20am%20originally%20from%20San%20Rafael,%20just%20north%20of%20San%20Francisco.%20%20My%20dad%20had%20a%20restaurant,%20the%20Windjammer,%20in%20Tiburon%20while%20I%20was%20growing%20up%20and%20I%20have%20wonderful%20memories%20of%20being%20treated%20as%20a%20princess%20by%20the%20waiters%20when%20we%20visited.%20%20(Maybe%20that's%20where%20my%20foodie%20roots%20started!)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20don't%20like%20cold%20weather%20or%20the%20snow...%20it's%20OK%20for%20a%20quick%20visit,%20but%20given%20the%20choice%20I'd%20rather%20live%20in%20Hawaii.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20don't%20ski%20or%20surf%20very%20well,%20but%20based%20on%20the%20prior%20comment,%20I'd%20rather%20surf%20(so%20long%20as%20the%20water%20is%20not%20too%20cold!).%20%20I%20paddle%20around%20on%20my%20board%20every%20year%20here%20along%20our%20San%20Diego%20coast%20and%20love%20the%20feeling%20of%20%22catching%20a%20wave%22,%20but%20I%20have%20yet%20to%20actually%20%22hang%2010%22!%20%20=)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20love%20to%20read%20and%20am%20having%20anxiety%20at%20changing%20over%20to%20a%20Kindle.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20love%20the%20smell%20of%20garlic%20on%20my%20fingers%20after%20I%20chop%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20recently%20purchased%20my%20first%20jar%20of%20Nutella%20and%20I%20am%20totally%20addicted!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20to%20pass%20this%20award%20on.%20%20The%20following%207%20blogs%20have%20been%20recently%20discovered%20by%20me%20and%20I've%20truly%20enjoyed%20getting%20to%20know%20the%20writers:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EColleen%20from%20Souffle%20Bombay.%20Colleen%20has%20a%20wonderful%20sense%20of%20humor%20that%20shows%20through%20in%20her%20writing.%20%20I%20look%20forward%20to%20her%20witty%20posts%20and%20mouthwatering%20recipes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELetizia%20from%20Letizia%20Golosa.%20%20Letizia's%20recipes%20are%20simply%20amazing%20and%20her%20photos%20are%20stunning.%20%20Her%20homemade%20Nutella%20recipe%20made%20me%20swoon!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESophia%20&%20Suri's%20Place.%20%20While%20this%20is%20not%20a%20food%20blog,%20I%20have%20truly%20enjoyed%20reading%20about%20the%20adventures%20of%20these%20adorable%20little%20girls.%20%20Now%20that%20my%20kids%20are%20getting%20older%20I'm%20having%20to%20live%20vicariously%20through%20others...%20%20The%20story%20about%20the%20Disney%20box%20had%20me%20laughing%20out%20loud!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EKim%20of%20Kimba's%20Kitchen.%20%20What%20a%20wonderful%20blog!!%20%20Kim%20is%20living%20in%20Australia%20and%20is%20torturing%20me%20with%20her%20fresh,%20beautiful%20summer%20recipes!%20%20Her%20recent%20and%20stunning%20Mixed%20Red%20Berry%20Mascarpone%20Cheesecake%20dessert%20left%20me%20breathless.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhile%20this%20blog%20is%20not%20really%20new%20to%20me,%20the%20word%20%22Stylish%22%20more%20than%20applies.%20%20Amber%20at%20Sprinkled%20with%20Flour%20exemplifies%20style%20when%20it%20comes%20to%20her%20lovely%20recipes%20and%20well%20written%20posts.%20%20She%20recently%20passed%20me%20the%20%22One%20Lovely%20Blog%20Award%22%20and%20I%20couldn't%20have%20been%20more%20honored.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnother%20blog%20that%20exemplifies%20style%20is%20Sweet%20Pea's%20Kitchen.%20%20Beautiful%20photos%20to%20go%20with%20her%20tempting%20recipes.%20%20I%20found%20her%20recent%20Pumpkin%20Roll%20simply%20amazing!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFelice%20at%20All%20That's%20Left%20are%20the%20Crumbs%20is%20another%20blog%20with%20style.%20%20Living%20in%20Hawaii%20I'm%20totally%20envious%20of%20her%20and%20she%20has%20some%20amazing%20recipes%20to%20boot!%20%20Most%20recently%20the%20Chai%20Snickerdoodles...%20amazing!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20last%20but%20not%20least,%20I'd%20like%20to%20also%20pass%20this%20award%20on%20to%20Hester%20at%20%22Comida%20es%20me%20vida%20Y%20my%20vida%20es%20comida!%22%20%20Hester%20always%20leaves%20me%20the%20most%20wonderful%20comments%20and%20always%20makes%20me%20smile.%20%20She%20has%20some%20absolutely%20wonderful%20recipes%20on%20her%20blog,%20one%20of%20my%20most%20recent%20favorites%20being%20her%20Fritata%20Papa,%20my%20mouth%20waters%20just%20thinking%20about%20it!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThank%20you%20again%20to%20Tracy%20for%20passing%20this%20award%20to%20me!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20on%20the%20our%20Puffed%20Apple%20Pancake!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWith%20Thanksgiving%20break%20almost%20over,%20Liv%20and%20I%20decided%20to%20try%20something%20new%20and%20a%20little%20special%20this%20morning.%20%20Her%20eyes%20lit%20up%20as%20she%20discovered%20a%20recipe%20for%20an%20Apple%20Puffed%20Pancake.%20%20We%20altered%20ingredients%20to%20suit%20our%20tastes,%20and%20came%20up%20with%20a%20lovely%20last%20day%20of%20Thanksgiving%20Break%20treat!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFlavored%20with%20pure%20maple%20syrup%20and%20cinnamon,%20this%20clafoutis-like%20treat%20is%20somewhat%20reminiscent%20of%20Apple%20Pie.%20%20With%20such%20a%20small%20amount%20of%20flour%20added%20this%20recipe%20was%20almost%20almost%20custard-like%20in%20texture,%20the%20tender%20slices%20of%20cinnamon%20apple%20giving%20a%20wonderful%20flavor%20addition.%20%20A%20dusting%20of%20powdered%20sugar%20mixed%20with%20a%20dash%20of%20cinnamon%20was%20the%20perfect%20topping%20to%20this%20fresh%20from%20the%20oven%20treat!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPuffed%20Apple%20Pancake%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20oven%20to%20425%C2%BA.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECombine%20the%20eggs,%20flour,%20half%20and%20half,%20maple%20syrup%20and%20salt%20in%20a%20medium%20bowl%20and%20whisk%20vigorously%20until%20flour%20is%20completely%20incorporated.%20%20(alternatively%20you%20may%20mix%20with%20a%20hand%20mixer)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20butter%20to%20an%208%20inch,%20oven%20proof%20non-stick%20skillet%20(if%20your%20skillet%20handle%20is%20not%20oven%20proof%20you%20may%20wrap%20the%20handle%20with%20a%20few%20layers%20of%20foil).%20%20Add%20the%20apple%20slices%20and%20saut%C3%A9%20until%20tender,%20about%205%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGive%20the%20egg%20mixture%20another%20vigorous%20whisking%20and%20pour%20the%20batter%20into%20the%20skillet,%20spreading%20out%20the%20apples.%20%20Cook%20over%20medium%20heat%20for%20about%20a%20minute%20then%20transfer%20the%20skillet%20to%20the%20preheated%20oven.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20pancake%20until%20puffed,%20golden%20and%20set,%20about%2012%20minutes.%20%20Remove%20the%20skillet%20and%20let%20the%20pancake%20cool%20for%20a%20few%20minutes%20in%20the%20pan%20(it%20will%20deflate).%20%20Slide%20a%20spatula%20under%20the%20pancake%20and%20slide%20out%20onto%20a%20cutting%20board.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESprinkle%20liberally%20with%20powdered%20sugar%20mixed%20with%20cinnamon%20and%20cut%20into%20slices,%20serve%20warm.%20%20Enjoy!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
