%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20these%20weren't%20just%20your%20run%20of%20the%20mill%20treats,%20oh%20no,%20these%20were%20only%20at%20Christmas%20goodies!%20%20She%20would%20make%20apricot%20horns,%20snowflakes,%20nut%20horns,%20poppy%20seed%20rolls,%20nut%20rolls,%20the%20peanut%20butter%20ones%20with%20the%20Hershey%20kiss%20in%20the%20middle,%20and%20half%20a%20dozen%20more.%20%20How%20we%20didn't%20gain%2050lbs%20over%20the%20holiday%20is%20beyond%20me.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo,%20while%20I%20was%20staying%20with%20my%20grandma%20I%20asked%20her%20if%20she'd%20make%20one%20of%20my%20all%20time%20faves.%20%20Poppy%20seed%20rolls.%20%20(I%20saw%20the%20cans%20of%20poppy%20seed%20in%20her%20fridge...why%20there?%20%20No%20idea,%20I%20don't%20question.)%20%20She%20looked%20at%20me%20like%20I%20was%20crazy,%20but%20then%20I%20insisted%20that%20I%20just%20HAD%20to%20learn%20to%20make%20them,%20especially%20since%20I%20was%20in%20charge%20this%20Christmas%20(it's%20all%20up%20to%20me%20this%20year%20in%20Saudi!)%20%20So,%20she%20caved.%20:)%20%20Lucky%20me.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20are%20actually%20very%20easy%20to%20make,%20you%20may%20just%20have%20trouble%20finding%20the%20cans%20of%20poppy%20seed.%20%20Our%20rolls%20turned%20out%20huge...much%20bigger%20than%20she%20usually%20makes%20them,%20but%20oh,%20they%20tasted%20divine.%20%20In%20our%20personal%20opinion,%20the%20best%20way%20to%20eat%20these%20is%20warmed%20just%20a%20bit%20in%20the%20microwave%20and%20have%20a%20nice%20cold%20glass%20of%20milk.%20%20(it%20was%20my%20breakfast%20for%205%20days%20straight)%20%20:)%20%20Happy%20Cooking!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPoppy%20Seed%20Rolls%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20package%20frozen%20dough%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20night%20before,%20more%20the%20dough%20from%20the%20freezer%20to%20the%20fridge%20to%20thaw.%20%20Then%20remove%20the%20dough%20and%20allow%20it%20to%20rise.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUsing%20a%20double%20boiler,%20add%20the%20cans%20of%20poppy%20seed%20and%20cook%20for%201hour.%20%20Then%20chill.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20the%20dough%20is%20ready,%20lightly%20flour%20your%20surface%20and%20roll%20out%20the%20dough.%20%20Use%20about%203/4%20of%20one%20roll%20from%20the%20package.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENext,%20use%203/4%20to%201%20cup%20of%20filling%20and%20make%20sure%20you%20cover%20all%20the%20dough.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUsing%20the%20butter,%20grease%20your%20baking%20pan.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERoll%20up%20the%20dough%20and%20place%20it%20seem%20side%20down%20in%20the%20pan.%20%20Repeat%20process%20with%20remaining%20dough.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENext,%20you%20need%20to%20let%20the%20dough%20rise%20till%20just%20above%20the%20rim%20of%20the%20pan.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20your%20oven%20to%20350%20degrees.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20the%20rolls%20uncovered%20until%20they%20are%20nice%20and%20brown%20(about%20a%20half%20hour)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20they%20are%20brown,%20take%20them%20out%20and%20rub%20the%20tops%20with%20the%20butter.%20%20Then%20let%20cool%20a%20bit%20(or%20if%20you're%20like%20me,%20just%20dig%20in%20right%20away)%20and%20enjoy!%20%20:)%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
