%20and%20this%20recipe%20by%20no%20means%20is%20particularly%20Polish%20in%20origin,%20though%20it%20does%20use%20a%20rather%20tasty%20ham%20called%20Szynka%20Swojska,%20which%20was%20wrapped%20in%20some%20kind%20of%20netting%20and%20proved%20fun%20to%20remove,%20plus%20a%20cheese%20that%20was%20labelled%20as%20being%20a%20soft%20cheese,%20but%20on%20opening%20it%20was%20actually%20rather%20crumbly%20upon%20touch%20and%20more%20resembled%20a%20cottage%20type%20cheese%20but%20without%20the%20watery%20gloop%20part!%20I%20will%20have%20to%20look%20next%20time%20in%20the%20Polish%20shop%20more%20closely%20to%20find%20its%20other%20name!%20Fortunately%20it%20also%20melted%20into%20the%20ham%20fairly%20well!%20I%20think%20next%20time%20I%20would%20add%20more%20cheese%20-%20as%20the%20last%20few%20pancakes%20were%20on%20the%20skinny%20side!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERecently%20I%20was%20sent%20a%20bottle%20of%20Hardy's%20'Stamp%20of%20Australia'%20Sparkling%20Chardonnay%20Pinot%20Noir%20-%20its%20a%20new%20variety%20on%20me%20and%20I%20am%20a%20fan!%20When%20it%20comes%20to%20sparkling%20wines%20I%20do%20like%20Champagne%20but%20I%20can't%20afford%20it%20and%20normally%20we%20tend%20to%20buy%20Prosecco%20for%20special%20occasions,%20though%20this%20sparkling%20Chardonnay%20is%20definitely%20a%20serious%20competitor!%20I%20am%20no%20wine%20buff%20but%20I%20really%20liked%20the%20lightness%20of%20this%20one,%20its%20small%20bubbles%20bursting%20with%20a%20light%20citrus%20note%20on%20the%20tongue%20with%20an%20almost%20creamy,%20smooth%20roundness%20to%20it%20makes%20it%20most%20drinkable%20for%20all%20tastes!%20My%20boyfriend%20is%20not%20normally%20a%20fan%20of%20chardonnay%20as%20it%20tends%20to%20be%20drier%20(perfect%20for%20me!)%20but%20even%20he%20enjoyed%20this%20without%20adding%20a%20splash%20of%20raspberry%20syrup!%20It%20complements%20the%20smoked%20ham%20and%20slightly%20sour%20cheese%20flavours%20very%20well%20but%20even%20on%20its%20own%20its%20a%20very%20pleasant%20glass%20of%20bubbly.%20A%20keeper!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServes%204-6%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPancakes:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStart%20by%20making%20the%20pancakes.%20Sift%20together%20the%20flour,%20salt%20and%20beat%20in%20the%20eggs.%20Add%20the%20milk%20bit%20by%20bit%20to%20form%20a%20smooth%20batter.%20Season%20with%20salt%20and%20pepper.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20a%20heavy%20based%20frying%20pan%20and%20add%20a%20little%20butter%20or%20spray%20oil,%20add%20a%20ladleful%20of%20batter%20and%20swirl%20around%20quickly%20to%20form%20a%20thin%20pancake.%20Cook%20for%20about%20two%20minutes%20then%20flip,%20and%20cook%20for%20a%20further%20minute%20or%20until%20cooked%20through.%20Place%20on%20the%20prepared%20baking%20paper,%20and%20repeat%20with%20remaining%20batter%20to%20form%20roughly%2012%20pancakes.%20%20Alternate%20the%20cooked%20pancakes%20with%20the%20greasing%20paper%20to%20stop%20them%20sticking%20to%20each%20other.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20your%20pancakes%20are%20all%20prepared,%20pre-heat%20oven%20to%20200o.%20Lightly%20grease%20two%20large%20baking%20dishes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20a%20pancake%20on%20a%20board%20or%20clean%20counter.%20Spoon%20over%20ham%20and%20a%20litte%20cheese,%20roll%20up%20and%20place%20seal%20side%20down%20in%20the%20dish.%20Repeat%20with%20remaining%20until%20all%20filled.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMeanwhile%20boil%20together%20the%20milk,%20water%20and%20bouillon.%20Slacken%20the%20cornflour%20with%20a%20little%20water%20and%20when%20the%20milk%20mixture%20is%20boiling,%20stir%20in%20the%20prepared%20cornflour%20paste,%20whisking%20all%20the%20time%20until%20thickened.%20Add%20the%20rosemary%20and%202%20tbsp%20of%20the%20cheese.%20Pour%20over%20the%20prepared%20pancakes%20and%20sprinkle%20over%20the%20remaining%20cheese%20and%20tomato%20halves.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20for%2025-30%20minutes%20or%20until%20golden%20and%20bubbling.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESorry%20there%20are%20no%20pictures%20of%20it%20plated%20it%20-%20it%20was%20gobbled%20up%20fast%20by%20my%20family%20and%20lovely%20neighbour%20who%20popped%20around%20for%20her%20share%20as%20she%20had%20never%20had%20them%20baked%20before!%20For%20the%20record%20I%20served%20mine%20with%20broccoli,%20and%20a%20tray%20of%20roasted%20new%20potatoes%20with%20cubes%20of%20butternut%20squash.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMany%20thanks%20to%20Hardy's%20for%20the%20wine%20samples.%20All%20opinions,%20text%20and%20photography%20remain%20the%20property%20of%20Anne's%20Kitchen%20and%20prior%20permission%20must%20be%20sought%20before%20use%20elsewhere.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
