  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. cornmeal
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 3 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/4 c. melted shortening

Инструкции

  1. Sift together dry ingredients. In a small bowl beat egg and add in lowfat milk and shortening to it. Add in egg mix to dry ingredients and stir just sufficient to moisten. Pour into greased 8 x 8 inch pan or possibly fill greased muffin c. 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 min (bread) or possibly for 20 to 25 min (muffins), or possibly till edges pull away from pan or possibly muffin c.. Makes 16 - 2 inch squares or possibly 12 muffins.
