Pinwheel Cheese Meatloaf

Ингредиенты

  • 1 1/2 lbs. lean grnd beef
  • 3/4 c. cracker crumbs (or possibly bread crumbs)
  • 1/2 c. finely minced onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (for topping)

Инструкции

  1. Combine beef, cracker crumbs, onion, egg, salt, horseradish, oregano, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce and 1/2 can of tomato sauce. Mix well and spread on waxed paper or possibly foil shaped into flat rectangle about 14 inches by 10 inches.
  2. Sprinkle cheese proportionately over meat mix up to 1 inch of edges. Roll up from shorter side like jelly roll, and press ends to seal.
  3. Remove from paper or possibly foil. Transfer to shallow baking dish, seam side down. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min.
