Рецепт Pinterest Fun Friday: Natural Silver Polish
by Nicole Sherman

Pinterest is one of my favorite sites. I can spend hours just looking around at all the crafty and innovative ideas that people come up with. It’s actually a terrible place for me to waste a lot of time. I can’t tell you how much inspiration I get from Pinterest and how many different pins I have tired. Each Friday I will be featuring something I have crafted, cooked, or found on Pinterest that I love!

Here is a great idea I found on Pinterest that I thought was inventive, practical, and just simply awesome!

My Dad loved Silver everything. When I was a kid he would spend an entire weekend polishing his silver. It was the craziest thing ever. He would buy it just for the sake of buying it. We ended up with more than one house could handle.

When he passed away he left me a lot of silver items like trays, a teapot with a cream and sugar bowl, silver ice buckets, and silverware and so on. The list goes on of all the silver I have in my house.

I recently discovered a pin on Pinterest that shows you how to polish your silver using natural ingredients. Although the pin is now no good I found an article that tells you how to do the same thing.

To polish silver: Wash items, and then place on aluminum foil in the bottom of a pot. Add a baking-soda solution (¼ cup soda, a few teaspoons salt, 1 quart boiling water) and cover for a few seconds.

Before Using the Silver Polish

This work brilliantly! I absolutely love using it and I love the fact that’s its all natural ingredients instead of nasty stinky chemicals that normally do more harm than good. If you are in need like I was give it a try. It really is miraculous how well it works!!
