- Pour juice into a 6 qt saucepan, add in pectin and stir till dissolved. Place over high heat and bring to a full boil. Add in sugar, all at once, and stir till dissolved. Bring to a full rolling boil and boil for 1 1/2 min, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, stir in food color. Skim with metal spoon. Pour into sterilized jelly glasses, seal. Yields: 5 (1/2 pint) jelly glasses. For variety, tint some green.
