- 1 c. Pillsbury's best flour (sifted, regular, self- rising or possibly instant blending)
- 2 tbsp. corn meal
- 1/3 c. hard bacon drippings or possibly other shortening
- 3 to 4 tbsp. cool water

- Combine flour and corn meal. Cut in bacon drippings till mix is the size of small peas. Sprinkle water over the mix, stirring with fork till dough holds together. Form into a ball. Flatten to 1/2 inch; smooth edge. Roll out on floured surface to a circle 1 1/2 inches larger than inverted 9-inch pie pan. Fit into pan. Fold edge to create a standing rim; flute.
