  • 2 quart White vinegar
  • 3 quart Water
  • 10 Tbsp. Salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Pickling spice(remove cloves)
  • 2 Tbsp. Sugar

  1. Boil above for 15 min
  2. Blanch asparagus in boiling water for 1 and1/2 min. Put in ice water for 2 min. Put 3 cloves garlic in jar. 1 red pepper optional. Fill jars with asparagus. Pour in boiling syrup. Seal.
  3. I put the jars in boiling water in a canner for about 20 min. This assures a good seal.
  4. This recipe was given to me by a friend, who obtained it from a friend.
