  • 1 c. Cocoa
  • 2 c. Boiling water
  • 1 c. Margarine
  • 2 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 4 x Large eggs
  • 2 3/4 c. Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 c. Whipping cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 c. Powdered sugar
  • 6 ounce Semisweet chocolate
  • 1/2 c. Half and half
  • 3/4 c. Butter
  • 2 1/2 c. Powdered sugar

  1. Perfect Chocolate Cake: Combine cocoa and boiling water, stirring till smooth; set aside. Cream butter; gradually add in sugar, beating well. Add in Large eggs, one at a time. Combine flour, soda, baking pwdr, and salt in bowl; add in to mix alternately with cocoa mix. Stir in vanilla.
  2. Use two 10" pans. Bake 350 degrees for 30 - 40 min
  3. WHIPPPED CREAM FILLING: Beat whipping cream and vanilla till foamy; gradually add in powdered sugar.
  4. Makes 1 c..
  5. PERFECT CHOCOLATE FROSTING: Combine first three ingredients in saucepan; cook till chocolate melts. Remove from heat; add in powdered sugar. Set pan is ice, and beat till frosting holds it shape and loses it gloss. Add in a few more drops of half/half if needed to make spreading consistency.
