Peppermint Pattie Cookies

Ингредиенты

  • 2/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 24-26 small (1 1/2 in) York Peppermint Patties
  • White decorators sugar (opt)

Инструкции

  1. Beat butter and sugar in a lg bowl; add egg, milk and vanilla, beat well.
  2. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add to the butter mixture, blend well. Refrigerate dough about an hour or till firm enough to handle.
  3. Remove foil wrappers from patties.
  4. Preheat oven to 350 line baking sheet with parchment
  5. Roll dough into 1 1/4 in balls, flatten ball slightly and press peppermint pattie into the dough. Mold the dough around the pattie so that it is completely covered. place on baking sheet.
  6. sprinkle with sugar if using.
  7. Bake 12-14 mins or until cookie is set. Sprinkle with add'l sugar if you like. Cool on sheet for 2 mins and move to rack to cool.
