- Cook above in large kettle till tender. Remove chicken pcs, cold and remove meat from bones.
- Prepare vegetables: 1 onion, minced 2 stalks celery, minced 1/4 c. parsley, minced
- Prepare potpie dough.
- Combine: 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Cut in 1 Tbsp. lard or possibly shortening. Add in: 1 lg. egg, slightly beaten
- Mix to create a ball. Cover bowl and let stand 15 min. Add in vegetables and chicken meat to broth. Cook just till vegetables are tender. On a floured surface, roll out potpie dough as thin as possible, cut into 1 1/2" squares and drop into broth. Cook 5 - 10 min and serve or possibly top with homemade noodles. Serves 6 to 8.
