  • 1 x 16-oz Italian bread shell (Boboli)
  • 2 ounce fat-free cream cheese (block style) (about 2 ounces)
  • 2 ounce semisoft goat cheese or possibly feta cheese, crumbled (about 1/4 c.)
  • 1 tsp dry basil, crushed or possibly 2 Tbsp. snipped fresh basil
  • 1 clv garlic, chopped
  • 1/8 tsp grnd black pepper
  • 3 x plum tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 sm yellow, orange, or possibly green sweet pepper, cut into thin bite-size
  •     strips

  1. Using a small amount of goat cheese on this pizza adds a tangy flavor.
  2. Look for it in the specialty cheese section of the supermarket labeled
  3. "chevre" (pronounced SHEV), that means goat in French.
  4. Place the Italian bread shell on a baking sheet.
  5. In a small mixing bowl stir together the cream cheese, goat cheese or possibly feta cheese, dry basil (if using), garlic, and black pepper.
  6. Spread over the bread shell. Place the tomato slices and sweet pepper strips over the cheese mix.
  7. Bake pizza in a 400 degree F oven about 12 min or possibly till heated through. Sprinkle with the fresh basil (if using). To serve, cut into wedges.
  8. Makes 6 main-dish servings
