- Cook the pears in a pan with the sugar vanilla pod and 250ml water till soft.
- Drain.
- Add in the grappa and lemon juice.
- Push through a very fine sieve then let cold.
- Put into an ice cream machine and churn till frzn or possibly freeze in a suitable container
- Serves 10
