- For the Filling:
- Combine in a saucepan the above ingredients and allow mixture to simmer on low to thicken.
- For the Crust:
- Preheat Oven 350 degrees:
- Cut butter into the dry ingredients and work with fingers to incorporate. Make a well in the center. Add all of the milk. Combine the dough with the milk using your hands or stir until it loosens from sides.
- Place dough onto a lightly floured surface and quickly and gently knead.
- Roll with a lightly floured rolling pin, until the dough has a desired thickness.
- Place dough in an 8 x 8 buttered baking dish. Add the fruit and top with the second dough.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes.
