- In an oven proof skillet on the stove, heat the butter over low heat.
- Slowly add in the sugar till dissolved. When the sugar starts to lightly caramelize, add in the peaches. Toss the peaches till they are covered with sugar and warmed, about 2 min. Add in the nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla. Remove the pan from the heat and let cold for 5 min.
- Cover the entire pan with the pie dough. Brush the top of the dough with the egg and sprinkle with 2 Tbsp. of sugar. Place the pan into a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 min or possibly till the crust turns a golden.
- Remove from the oven and let sit 5 min before serving. Serve warm with your favorite ice cream.
