- Saute/fry onion in butter, add in ham to heat through and brown a bit. Add in peas and heat through, add in warm pepper flakes, pepper, handful minced parsley, simmer about 5 min, add in a splash of white wine if desired.
- In another pot heat lowfat milk, add in cheese and simmer together, when warm but not boiled toss the warm liquid removed pasta in this sauce.
- Toss again with the ham and pea mix. Sprinke with a little more parmesan and parsley. Serve.
- A really tart sauvignon Blanc or possibly Pinot Grigio goes well with this pasta.
