Paneer Channa Pulao Recipe
A delicious Pulao made with Paneer and White Chickpeas.
Ingredients:
- White Channa (Chickpeas) – 1/4 cup
- Paneer – 100 gms, grated or chopped
- Rice – 1 cup
- Tomato – 1, finely chopped
- Onion – 1, finely chopped
- Green Chillies – 3, slit
- Cinnamon – a small piece
- Saunf – 1/4 tsp
- Cloves – 2
- Cardamoms – 2
- Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
- Mint Leaves – few
- Coriander Leaves – few
- Salt as per taste
- Oil as required
Method:
1. Soak the chickpeas for 2 to 4 hours or overnight.
2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
3. Add cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and saunf.
4. Fry for 30 seconds.
5. Add onions and tomatoes.
6. Saute well.
7. Add green chillies.
8. Drain the chickpeas and add to the cooker.
9. Add rice, paneer and salt.
10. Stir to mix well.
11. Add enough water and pressure cook until 1 whistle.
12. Reduce flame to low and simmer for another 4 to 5 minutes.
13. Switch off the flame and remove the lid once the pressure has reduced.
14. Garnish with mint leaves and coriander leaves.
15. Serve.
