.%20He%20turned%20a%20so-so%20team%20into%20the%20essence%20of%20achievement.%20Lombardi%20demanded%20hard%20work,%20true%20grit,%20strong%20determination%20and%20a%20attitude%20of%20never%20accepting%20defeat.%20Losing%20was%20not%20an%20option.%20The%20Packers%20did%20Vince%20proud,%20every%20time%20there%20was%20a%20threat%20of%20the%20Steelers%20fulfilling%20the%20biggest%20rebound%20in%20Superbowl%20history%20the%20Packers%20shut%20them%20down.%20As%20Brett%20Farve%20fades%20from%20the%20minds%20of%20Packer%20fans,%20rising%20up%20out%20of%20the%20ashes%20is%20a%20new%20Phoenix%20Aaron%20Rodgers.%20This%20game%20was%20definitely%20worth%20the%20time%20spent%20watching%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20is%20the%20love%20of%20my%20life,%20we%20are%20having%20fun,%20exploring%20new%20recipes%20that%20we%20would%20otherwise%20never%20try.This%20would%20be%20the%20best%20photo%20that%20I%20could%20get,%20without%20inciting%20a%20mini%20riot.%20When%20I%20first%20met%20him,%20cooking%20was%20not%20something%20that%20he%20wanted%20to%20do.%20Now%20he%20is%20a%20natural%20in%20the%20kitchen.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20is%20the%20sauce%20before%20the%20meatballs%20were%20added,%20more%20importantly%20do%20you%20see%20those%20egg%20rolls%20in%20the%20background?%20Those%20are%20the%20coveted%20egg%20rolls%20that%20Noulieng%20Keopraseuth%20is%20responsible%20for.%20Even%20after%20yet%20ANOTHER%20ice%20storm,%20he%20drove%20them%20over%20himself.%20Long%20live%20Noulieng!!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20would%20like%20to%20say%20that%20I%20snacked%20on%20carrot%20sticks%20and%20behaved,%20but%20that%20would%20just%20be%20a%20tall%20tale!%20%20Superbowl%20fare%20in%20my%20house,%20did%20not%20reflect%20healthy%20choices.%20My%20husband%20actually%20picked%20out%20his%20own%20recipe%20and%20made%20it.%20I%20was%20impressed,%20because%20the%20meatballs%20were%20not%20that%20bad%20at%20all.%20Truth%20be%20told,%20I%20was%20a%20little%20hesitant,%20when%20the%20recipe%20called%20for%20jellied%20cranberry%20sauce.%20However%20the%20cranberry%20sauce%20recipe%20trumped%20the%20other%20recipe,%20he%20had%20selected,%20that%20called%20for%20grape%20jelly.%20Somehow,%20I%20have%20a%20hard%20time%20separating%20grape%20jelly%20from%20its%20significant%20other,%20peanut%20butter.%20The%20above%20photo%20is%20when%20the%20meatballs%20were%20added.%20Still%20yet,%20a%20closer%20photo%20of%20the%20Egg%20rolls,%20you%20can%20find%20them%20at%20Taste%20of%20Thai%20perhaps%20they%20might%20freeze%20and%20ship.%20Definitely%20worth%20the%20time.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESpeaking%20of%20peanut%20butter,%20we%20had%20some%20great%20dumplings%20that%20I%20pan%20fried%20and%20combined%20with%20peanut%20sauce.%20They%20were%20great,%20but%20a%20little%20spicy.%20Looking%20back,%20we%20probably%20should%20have%20steamed%20them,%20to%20get%20the%20dough%20nice%20and%20soft,%20so%20that%20the%20peanut%20sauce%20would%20cling%20better.%20Not%20complaining%20though.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20didn't%20already%20know,%20my%20youngest%20son%20Kerry,is%20named%20after%20my%20uncle,%20Kerry%20Landers.%20He%20was%20my%20mother's%20older%20brother.%20Great%20guy,%20he%20taught%20me%20how%20to%20gamble,%20and%20took%20in%20every%20stray.%20He%20had%20a%20big%20sense%20of%20humor,%20and%20an%20even%20bigger%20heart.%20Well,%20little%20Kerry%20will%20be%209%20years%20old%20on%20Valentine's%20Day.%20He%20was%20my%20husband%20and%20I's,%20very%20own%20cupid.%20In%20year's%20past,%20Valentine's%20Day%20was%20a%20wee%20on%20the%20stressful%20side,%20with%20filling%20out%20valentine's%20with%20the%20kids%20and%20making%20sure%20that%20Kerry's%20birthday%20was%20special.%20I%20know%20my%20sister%20can%20relate,%20her%20child%20Brooke,%20was%20born%20on%20Christmas%20Day.%20By%20the%20way,%20giving%20a%20shout-out%20for%20Amanda%20Buotte%20today~it%20is%20her%20birthday!!!%20Happy%20Birthday%20Amanda,%20Love%20you!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20were%20my%20cheer%20leading%20squad,%20when%20I%20thought%20that%20I%20had%20no%20one%20in%20my%20corner!%20You%20are%20beautiful%20and%20you%20inspire%20me%20everyday!!!%20Thank%20you%20for%20believing%20in%20me,%20when%20I%20did%20not%20believe%20in%20myself.%20Love%20You!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%EF%BB%BF%20%20%20%20%20This%20is%20the%20Love%20bug,%20Kerry%20made%20it.%20I%20had%20to%20take%20a%20picture%20because,%20at%20some%20point,%20life%20will%20take%20on%20warp%20speed%20and%20I%20will%20be%20sorry%20for%20not%20paying%20attention.%20Time%20in%20my%20opinion%20has%20already%20gotten%20away%20from%20me.%20My%20baby%20will%20be%209,%20and%20this%20will%20be%20the%20first%20year,%20that%20no%20red%20velvet%20cupcakes%20will%20be%20delivered%20to%20Academy%20School%20for%20reasons,%20I%20would%20rather%20not%20comment%20on.%20It%20is%20a%20shame%20though,%20who%20does%20not%20like%20red%20velvet%20cupcakes%20with%20cream%20cheese%20frosting.%20Don't%20need%20an%20event%20for%20such%20a%20treat,%20I%20am%20just%20sayin.....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECheese,%20cheese%20glorious%20cheese!!%20I%20would%20much%20rather%20blog%20about%20cupcakes,%20but%20alas%20in%20the%20words%20of%20Mick%20Jagger~%22You%20can't%20always%20get%20what%20you%20want%22!%20What%20follows%20is%20a%20recipe%20for%20Broccoli%20Cheddar%20Soup.%20In%20honor%20of%20the%20Packer's%20let's%20try%20and%20use%20only%20Wisconsin%20Cheddar.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%EF%BB%BF%20%20%20%20%20It%20is%20hard%20to%20see%20but%20this%20is%20frozen%20broccoli%20thawed.%20The%20main%20event!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ecream,%20only%20about%201/2%20cup%20total%20to%20soften%20the%20soup%20a%20bit.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20soup%20pot%20melt%20the%20butter%20and%20saute%20the%20onions,%20celery,%20and%20garlic%20until%20the%20onions%20are%20translucent.%20Add%20the%20flour%20and%20mix%20well,%20turn%20the%20heat%20down%20and%20cook%20on%20low%20heat%20for%20about%203%20to%205%20minutes,%20just%20long%20enough%20to%20cook%20the%20flour%20taste%20out%20of%20the%20mixture.Add%20the%20chicken%20stock%20and%20bay%20leaf.%20Bring%20to%20a%20simmer,%20I%20must%20say%20a%20low%20simmer.%20When%20you%20have%20flour%20in%20the%20presence%20of%20heat,%20you%20must%20monitor%20the%20temperature,%20otherwise%20the%20flour%20will%20stick%20to%20the%20bottom%20and%20if,%20without%20frequent%20agitation%20results%20in%20burning.%20Done%20it%20a%20million%20times,%20you%20get%20busy.%20When%20the%20soup%20has%20thickened,%20and%20has%20not%20thickened%20further,%20remove%20the%20bay%20leaf%20and%20discard.%20From%20here%20you%20have%20two%20choices.%20One%20you%20can%20blend%20the%20soup%20in%20batches%20in%20a%20food%20processor,%20until%20smooth.%20Or%20you%20can%20purchase%20an%20a%20immersion%20blender,%20or%20a%20stick%20blender%20and%20blend%20the%20soup%20until%20smooth.%20Once%20the%20soup%20is%20smooth%20season%20with%20nutmeg,%20dried%20thyme,%20Tabasco,%20cream%20and%20salt%20and%20pepper.%20Add%20the%20shredded%20cheddar%20and%20whisk%20with%20the%20soup%20until%20the%20cheese%20is%20melted.%20Adjust%20seasonings%20and%20enjoy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%EF%BB%BFCleaning%20your%20house%20while%20your%20kids%20are%20still%20growing%20up%20is%20like%20shoveling%20the%20walk%20before%20it%20stops%20snowing.%20~Phyllis%20Diller%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
