  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 6 x Large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 Tbsp. corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 12 slc sandwich bread
  • 1/4 tsp salt

  1. Combine sugar, butter, and corn syrup in a small saucepan, cook over medium heat till thickened, stirring constantly. Pour syrup mix into a 13" x 9" baking dish. Place 6 slices of bread on top of syrup mix. Top with remaining 6 slices of bread. Combine Large eggs, lowfat milk, vanilla, and salt, stirring till well blended. Pour egg mix proportionately over bread slices. Cover and refrigerate8 hrs or possibly overnight. Bake uncovered at 350 for 40-45 min or possibly till lightly browned.
