- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda (originally called for 1 tsp. soda)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts; I use pecans
- 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips or dark chocolate chips
