Рецепт Our #DeltaFaucetInspired Project gets Spicy with My Favorite Poultry, Beef and Pork Rub
Last month I shared how my daughter Emily is going to be the lucky beneficiary of a brand new Delta ‘One Touch’ Faucet (though I think they should just call it the ‘Chicken Cutting Faucet!). Although she is not going through a major kitchen overhaul, this surprise has whet her appetite to do a couple of more things in her kitchen to spruce it up. How could you NOT want a new sink when you’re installing such a beautiful faucet?
Em chose the ‘Cassidy’ faucet; one of their more traditional designs. One of the things on her ‘wish list’ is a new way to store and display her spices; right now they are in a couple of cabinets and you know how that goes…removing half of the spices to find that one that is more seldom used is a royal pain in the cumin! So…we’re on the hunt for something to put on the wall directly in front of her (new) sink and that gorgeous faucet. I mean it is gorgeous too; it was shipped to me and I’m drooling with envy. Or was…the folks at Delta have also offered one to me for my new home; how amazing was that? I love it too; seems we may no longer wear matching outfits like we did when she was a little girl but we will have matching faucets!
Yes, new home. I signed on the dotted line and HOPE that it will finish according to schedule and I’ll be moving in sometime in November. This is a photo from the model; a very bad Instagram I’m afraid but still…I love this home. I love where it’s located. I love the room to the right of the kitchen I’ll use for photos. I’ll…OK, best get back to this story huh?
Anyhoo…right now we’re in the planning stage for Em’s kitchen redo and we’ve created a Pinterest board for ideas…OK some of them may be a bit grandious for her small galley kitchen but a girl can dream can’t she?
Our plans include a new granite composite sink, the new Delta ‘One Touch’ Faucet, spice storage above the sink and some additional lighting to be added to her current track lighting system to get better light directly over the sink and the stove. I’m certain Emily has been inspired by this project and who knows what else she will plan; it is amazing once you see what others have done how easily you can make changes that don’t have to break the bank. What woman can NOT afford more storage and organization in her kitchen? She loves this idea of using chalk paint and baby food jars; now we just have to figure out how to hang them!
Already thinking these jars will be great holiday gifts…pretty huh? OK, maybe a bit selfishly but I can just imagine it now…Em’s new sink and Delta Faucet with a rack of spices and space for this one to show off those layers…SO much prettier than sand art right?
Stay tuned for the final installment next month when I’ll have some before, during install and after photos…I can’t wait to see the difference myself!
