.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20collection%20of%20the%20many%20design%20elements%20that%20help%20Steak%20and%20Ice%20%22bring%20the%20streets%20inside.%22%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20able%20to%20sample%20a%20few%20different%20items%20during%20a%20pre-opening%20party%20on%20Monday%20night.%20I%20started%20with%20the%20Buffalo%20Cheesesteak,%20which%20is%20one%20of%20six%20specialty%20cheesesteaks%20offered%20on%20the%20menu%20(the%20other%20five%20are%20pepperoni,%20spinach,%20pizza,%20broccoli%20rabe%20and%20green%20chili).%20Covered%20in%20Frank's%20Red%20Hot%20sauce%20and%20Mazza's%20blue%20cheese%20dressing,%20the%20Buffalo%20Cheesesteak%20provided%20enough%20heat%20for%20me%20to%20want%20to%20track%20down%20the%20nearest%20drink,%20which%20happened%20to%20be%20Kool-Aid.%20Yes,%20Kool-Aid.%20Not%20Hi-C,%20but%20Kool%20Aid!%20(It%20comes%20in%20Cherry%20and%20Grape).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENext%20I%20tried%20the%20Sloppy%20Sloppy%20Big%20Dog,%20which%20is%20made%20up%20of%201/2%20pound%20of%20all%20beef%20hotdog,%20sexy%20sloppy%20joe,%20and%20white%20whiz.%20I%20just%20want%20to%20start%20by%20pointing%20out%20that%20the%20only%20time%20I%20eat%20hotdogs%20is%20when%20I'm%20at%20a%20BBQ,%20and%20there%20are%20no%20more%20hamburgers%20left.%20I'm%20pretty%20sure%20I've%20never%20bought%20a%20hot%20dog%20on%20my%20own.%20Basically,%20I%20hate%20hot%20dogs.%20I%20didn't%20hate%20the%20Sloppy%20Sloppy.%20In%20fact,%20I%20loved%20it.%20As%20much%20as%20I%20would%20not%20want%20to%20order%20a%20hot%20dog%20at%20a%20cheesesteak%20shop,%20I'm%20sure%20I'll%20be%20ordering%20this%20item%20plenty%20of%20times%20during%20my%20many%20visits%20to%20come.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20a%20taste%20of%20one%20of%20Taylor's%20Balls%20(cheese%20fritters%20w/%20dijon%20horseradish%20sauce),%20I%20tried%20the%20classic%20beef%20cheesesteak.%20Somehow%20I%20didn't%20take%20note%20of%20the%20taste%20of%20the%20bread%20until%20I%20tried%20the%20classic%20beef%20cheesesteak,%20but%20it%20was%20nice%20and%20chewy%20and%20simply%20delicious.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELast,%20but%20definitely%20not%20least,%20I%20tried%20the%20Italian%20Water%20Ice.%20I%20admit%20that%20when%20I%20first%20learned%20about%20Steak%20and%20Ice,%20I%20was%20way%20more%20excited%20by%20the%20Ice%20than%20the%20Steak.%20Flavored%20Ice%20is%20one%20of%20my%20favorite%20treats.%20When%20I%20went%20up%20to%20the%20counter%20to%20grab%20a%20cup%20of%20the%20Ice,%20I%20was%20asked%20what%20flavor%20I%20wanted,%20and%20I%20shamelessly%20requested%20all%20of%20them.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEach%20of%20the%20four%20flavors%20(wild%20berry,%20mango,%20strawberry%20and%20banana,%20and%20lemon)%20had%20a%20different%20texture,%20which%20is%20clear%20proof%20that%20this%20isn't%20just%20ice%20with%20flavored%20syrup%20thrown%20on%20top,%20but%20it's%20ice%20mixed%20with%20real%20fruit.%20The%20lemon%20flavor%20was%20my%20favorite,%20and%20not%20surprisingly,%20it%20had%20the%20softest%20texture%20of%20the%20four%20flavors.%20%20The%20mango%20had%20the%20thickest%20texture%20of%20the%20bunch,%20and%20it%20really%20did%20taste%20like%20I%20was%20simply%20eating%20a%20chunk%20of%20mango,%20which%20is%20definitely%20not%20a%20bad%20thing.%20The%20wildberry%20flavor%20was%20just%20a%20tad%20bit%20thicker%20than%20the%20lemon,%20and%20the%20strawberry%20and%20banana%20had%20the%20consistency%20of%20a%20smoothie.%20They%20were%20the%20perfect%20way%20to%20end%20my%20Steak%20and%20Ice%20tasting.%20I%20can%20only%20eat%20so%20many%20cheesesteaks%20and%20hot%20dogs%20in%20one%20week,%20but%20I%20can%20never%20have%20too%20much%20Italian%20Water%20Ice,%20which%20means%20I%20will%20definitely%20be%20a%20regular%20here.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESteak%20and%20Ice%20is%20open%20Sunday%20-%20Thursday%2011am%20-%209pm%20and%20Friday%20&%20Saturday%2011am%20-%203:30am.%20The%20full%20menu%20is%20found%20below.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
