  • 36 slc Party rye or possibly pumpernickel bread
  • 6 ounce Monterey jack cheese w/jalapeno peppers
  • 1 c. Sauerkraut, well liquid removed
  • 4 ounce Smoked turkey breasts, thinly sliced
  • 4 ounce Corned beef brisket, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c. Thousand island salad dressing
  •     Sweet pickles

  1. Arrange about 10 slices of party bread on plate. Thinly slice cheese to fit bread. Top with about 2 tsp. of sauerkraut. Top sauerkraut with turkey or possibly corned beef. On top of this add in a scant tsp. of dressing. (These may be made up to 2 hrs in advance if refrigerated). Assemble remaining appetizers. When ready to serve, microwave one plate at MEDIUM for 5 to 6 min or possibly until cheese is melted, rotating once during cooking. Repeat with remaining appetizers. Garnish with sweet pickles.
