Oh, I love me a great cooking competition show. Seems I can't get enough of them. Seems I can't get enough of great restaurants, either.
So, if I got the opportunity to create the next new menu item for one of my favorite restaurants, I wonder what I would create?
Well, that's the question contestants on TNT's new competition show "On the Menu" get to answer! But not only do they answer the question ... they create their answer. And then compete with it.
Compete for what, you ask?
To have their creations be the next dish to appear on the menu of well-known restaurants.
How cool is that?
With the guidance of chef Emeril Lagasse as their seasoned industry insider and host Ty Pennington as their confidant and sounding board, home cooking 'passionistas' go head-to-head to create dishes that are not only delicious, but fit the selected restaurants' current menu offerings.
Oh, the pressure!
Can you imagine having a dish you create show up on the menu of a restaurant?
Well that's exactly what's going to happen for the lucky winning contestant each week. And unlike other cooking competition shows- we can ACTUALLY go try the winning dish at the participating restaurant the very next day after the show airs!
I think that's so cool.
So I know where I'll be Friday night, October 3rd {at 8:00 pm eastern/7:00 pm central} ... watching the "On the Menu" premier on TNT!!
