Ingredients
- 2 Cups Besan | Kadala Mavu
- 1/2 Cup Rice flour | Arisi mavu
- Salt to taste
- 2 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
- 1 tsp Ajwain | Omam
Instructions
Soak ajwain in warm water for about 10 minutes. Strain the ajwain and keep the waster aside.
Mix the flour, salt, chilli powder. Add the ajwain water and if needed add some more water and knead into a dough. Stiff and sticky dough.
Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Once very hot, take some and put it in the muruku press.
Press the muruku maker in the oil and the dough will come out to form round discs.
Turn it once and cook until the sizzling sound reduces.
Drain it in a paper towel. Then transfer it, as such or break them into fine pieces, to an air tight box.
