  1. Butter sides of heavy 2-qt saucepan. In it combine sugar, lowfat milk, chocolate, salt, and corn syrup. This is where I also add in the Fluff. Heat and stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mix comes to boiling. Then cook to soft-ball stage (234 ), stirring only if necessary.
  2. Immediately remove from heat; add in butter and cold to lukewarm (110 )
  3. without stirring. (I let set in sink of cool water.) Add in vanilla. Beat vigorously till fudge becomes very thick and starts to lose its gloss.
  4. Quickly spread in buttered shallow pan. Score while hot, cut when hard.
  5. NOTE: If desired, quickly stir in 1/2 c. broken nuts at end of beating time.
