My little Naomi is surely beginning to leave her babyhood behind - I am both happy and sad with this fact. I am happy that my baby grows well, happy and healthy but on the other hand, I am a little sad thinking how fast time has flown. I mean where's my clingy little baby who used to snuggle in my arms or chest when she's sleeping?
Am I cute or what?
As my baby approaches her 1st birthday, she has shown plenty of signs of becoming an independent toddler.

.%20Both%20my%20husband%20and%20I%20were%20so%20shocked%20when%20this%20happened%20as%20just%20the%20day%20before%20that,%20Naomi%20was%20still%20cruising%20and%20only%20be%20able%20to%20walk%202-3%20steps.%20Now,%20she%20has%20not%20been%20practising%20her%20walking%20skill%20that%20much%20but%20she%20does%20that%20when%20she%20has%20the%20mood.%20I%20guess,%20somehow,%20she%20still%20prefers%20crawling%20(at%20turbo%20speed%20on%20some%20occasions)%20than%20walking.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENaomi%20is%20a%20little%20chatterbox.%20She%20has%20clearly%20found%20her%20voice%20and%20her%20gibberish%20baby%20talk%20sounds%20like%20music%20to%20my%20ears.%20She%20babbles%20a%20lot%20and%20sometimes%20I%20feel%20like%20she%20is%20trying%20to%20communicate%20with%20us.%20Although%20I%20don't%20understand%20her,%20I%20still%20respond%20to%20her.%20Just%20by%20keep%20on%20talking%20to%20her.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhistling%20is%20fun!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESometime%20last%20month,%20Naomi%20was%20playing%20a%20toy%20that%20has%20a%20whistle%20on%20it.%20As%20she%20played%20with%20it,%20she%20began%20blowing%20the%20whistle%20part%20and%20actually%20managed%20to%20produce%20a%20whistling%20sound%20from%20it.%20The%20moment%20she%20realized%20a%20sound%20came%20from%20the%20toy%20she%20blew,%20she%20kept%20on%20doing%20it%20over%20and%20over%20again.%20Every%20time%20her%20blowing%20attempt's%20successful,%20she'd%20giggle.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20that%20Naomi%20is%20a%20master%20in%20standing%20up,%20crawling%20and%20showing%20separation%20anxiety%20-%20whenever%20she%20sees%20her%20Dad%20leaving%20a%20room%20or%20entering%20a%20toilet,%20she%20often%20crawls%20to%20that%20closed%20door,%20stands%20up%20and%20knocks%20on%20it%20non-stop%20until%20her%20Dad%20comes%20back%20to%20pick%20her%20or%20open%20the%20toilet%20door%20for%20her.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENext,%20I%20guess%20Naomi's%20little%20fingers%20are%20getting%20stronger%20and%20now%20she%20loves%20picking%20up%20small%20objects%20using%20her%20thumb%20and%20forefinger.%20The%20worst%20part%20is%20that%20she%20is%20often%20intrigues%20by%20any%20tiny%20things%20that%20she%20can%20find%20and%20pick%20and%20then%20put%20it%20in%20her%20mouth%20to%20taste%20it.%20This%20said,%20my%20husband%20and%20I%20really%20have%20to%20constantly%20keep%20a%20good%20eye%20on%20her%20so%20she%20won't%20eat%20random%20stuff%20like%20bugs,%20dirt,%20rubbish%20or%20tiny%20plastic%20bits.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20didn't%20know%20that%20a%20baby%20as%20big%20as%20Naomi%20would%20be%20so%20clingy%20too%20on%20some%20days%20and%20when%20it%20happens,%20she%20just%20wants%20me%20to%20carry%20her%20all%20the%20time.%20She'd%20follow%20me%20wherever%20I%20go%20and%20if%20I%20fail%20to%20cuddle%20or%20carry%20her%20because%20I%20am%20busy,%20she'd%20cry.%20Anyhow,%20I%20guess%20one%20day%20I'll%20miss%20Naomi's%20koala%20bear%20days.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAlso,%20I%20am%20not%20sure%20that%20babies%20younger%20than%201%20year%20old%20can%20actually%20show%20tantrums.%20I%20think%20in%20the%20past%20few%20weeks,%20Naomi%20has%20shown%20us%20her%20anger%20and%20frustration%20in%20very%20strong%20manners%20when%20she%20doesn't%20get%20what%20she%20wants.%20When%20she's%20angry%20she'd%20cry,%20howl,%20kick,%20hit%20and%20even%20bite%20my%20shoulder.%20This%20little%20girl%20really%20needs%20some%20serious%20anger%20management.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20days,%20Naomi%20is%20able%20to%20show%20a%20simple%20gesture%20of%20saying%20'no'%20by%20shaking%20her%20head.%20At%20first,%20I%20found%20this%20new%20milestone%20really%20cute%20but%20eventually,%20it%20got%20really%20irritating%20especially%20when%20it%20happens%20during%20her%20feeding%20time.%20So%20yes,%20feeding%20time%20is%20now%20a%20bit%20challenging%20especially%20when%20Naomi%20now%20is%20able%20to%20refuse%20her%20porridge%20or%20milk%20by%20shaking%20her%20head.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20Mother-in-Law%20taught%20Naomi%20to%20wave%20bye-bye%20sometime%20last%20month.%20Although%20her%20skill%20on%20this%20is%20not%20perfect%20yet%20but%20she%20can%20imitate%20us%20doing%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBy%20the%20way,%20sometimes%20we%20let%20Naomi%20mingle%20with%20her%20almost%202%20y/o%20cousin%20at%20my%20Mother-in-Law's%20place.%20They%20look%20cute%20together%20but%20they%20can't%20really%20play%20peacefully%20together%20yet.%20Either%20they%20fight%20for%20each%20other's%20toy%20(and%20my%20little%20one%20surely%20won't%20give%20in%20easily%20to%20her%20elder%20cousin)%20or%20they'd%20fight%20for%20Grandma's%20or%20Grandpa's%20attention.%20If%20Grandpa%20carries%20Naomi,%20her%20cousin%20will%20surely%20make%20noise%20asking%20to%20be%20carried%20too,%20and%20vice%20versa.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELast%20but%20not%20least,%20to%20those%20of%20you%20who%20are%20curious%20about%20Naomi's%20feeding%20schedule%20at%20this%20age%20-%20I%20feed%20her%20with%20rice%20porridge%20twice%20a%20day,%201%20serving%20of%20mashed%20fruit%20(if%20I%20have%20any%20at%20home)%20plus%205-6%20feeds%20of%20formula%20milk%20in%20a%20day.%20Usually%20I%20begin%20her%20day%20with%20formula%20milk%20and%20only%20feed%20her%20with%20first%20bowl%20of%20porridge%20in%20late%20morning%20or%20afternoon.%20I%20give%20her%20the%20second%20bowl%20of%20porridge%20in%20the%20evening%20or%20around%20dinner%20time.%20Feeding%20her%20now%20is%20definitely%20not%20as%20easy%20as%20when%20she%20was%20younger%20as%20she%20is%20now%20able%20to%20show%20emotions%20and%20refuse%20food%20from%20us%20when%20she's%20not%20that%20hungry%20yet%20or%20not%20in%20the%20mood%20for%20eating%20or%20drinking%20milk.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E**%20Health%20record:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECurrent%20weight:%2010.4%20kg.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECurrent%20height:%2078%20cm.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
