%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20yes.%20Guys%20in%20my%20house.%20I%E2%80%99m%20at%20a%20coffee%20shop%20because%20I%20can%E2%80%99t%20stand%20to%20watch.%20The%20thought%20makes%20go%20all%20squirmy%20inside,%20like%20thinking%20about%20spider%20and%20snakes%20and%20other%20creepy%20crawly%20slithery%20things%20that%20give%20me%20the%20heebies.%20If%20I%20try%20really%20hard,%20I%20can%20not%20think%20about%20it.%20Then%20all%20of%20a%20sudden%20it%20creeps%20back%20into%20my%20head.%20My%20brain%20tries%20to%20disguise%20it%20too,%20making%20me%20think%20about%20it%20%20by%20telling%20me%20not%20to%20think%20about%20it.%20That%20sneaky%20brain!%20I%E2%80%99ll%20be%20minding%20my%20own%20business,%20enjoying%20a%20particularly%20engrossing%20passage%20in%20my%20latest%20novel%20of%20choice%20and%20then%20BOOM,%20a%20thought%E2%80%A6%E2%80%9DHey,%20don%E2%80%99t%20think%20about%20those%20weird%20guys%20in%20your%20house%20and%20the%20several%20boxes%20of%20girly%20unmentionables%20you%20left%20under%20the%20sink%20they%20are%20probably%20touching%20RIGHT%20NOW.%E2%80%9D%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUggggh.%20Awkward.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhy,%20you%20ask,%20would%20I%20allow%20such%20things?%20Because%20we%E2%80%99re%20moving.%20This%20is%20it.%20it%E2%80%99s%20really%20happening.%20New%20owners%20take%20possession%20of%20our%20current%20house%20on%20Monday.%20I%E2%80%99m%20gonna%20go%20out%20on%20a%20limb%20and%20guess%20they%20don%E2%80%99t%20%20want%20to%20see%20my%20girly%20unmentionables%20left%20under%20the%20sink%20either,%20so%20SOMEONE%20has%20to%20take%20care%20of%20that.%20And%20when%20your%20Kind%20of%20a%20Big%20Deal*,%20you%20don%E2%80%99t%20have%20to%20pack%20your%20own%20things.%20You%20have%20people%20do%20that%20for%20you.%20You%20have%20guys.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*Aside:%20I%E2%80%99m%20not%20a%20big%20deal.%20I%E2%80%99m%E2%80%A6no%20deal.%20I%E2%80%99m%20%E2%80%9COh,%20sorry,%20I%20didn%E2%80%99t%20see%20you%20there.%E2%80%9D%20Also%20known%20as%20%E2%80%9CWhat%E2%80%99s%20your%20name%20again?%E2%80%9D%20Eric%20might%20be%20kind%20of%20a%20big%20deal.%20But%20don%E2%80%99t%20tell%20him%20I%20told%20you,%20he%20doesn%E2%80%99t%20like%20to%20talk%20about%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAlthough%20between%20stuffing%20my%20face%20with%20bonbons%20and%20watching%20soap%20operas%20while%20my%20people%20took%20care%20of%20everything,%20I%20did%20manage%20to%20pack%20my%20own%20underwear%20drawer.%20I%20mean,%20really.%20That%E2%80%99s%20a%20given.%20Please.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20all%20seriousness,%20this%20move%20stuff?%20Sucks.%20Eric%E2%80%99s%20company%20is%20helping%20us%20out%20a%20ton%20and%20it%E2%80%99s%20still%20a%20stressful%20and%20draining%20experience.%20I%20will%20be%20over%20the%20moon%20when%20it%E2%80%99s%20finally%20over%20and%20we%20settled%20on%20the%20other%20end.%20For%20the%20last%20week,%20I%E2%80%99ve%20had%20to%20give%20up%20my%20two%20favorite%20things.%20Cooking%20and%20TV.%20We%20cut%20the%20satellite%20service%20and%20I%20had%20to%20stop%20buying%20groceries,%20less%20I%20wanted%20these%20movers%20to%20toss%20vegetables%20and%20cheese%20in%20a%20box%20and%20load%20it%20on%20a%20semi.**%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E**True.%20We%E2%80%99ve%20heard%20stories.%20Apparently%20these%20guys%20will%20pack%20ANYTHING,%20including%20but%20not%20limited%20to,%20the%20stuff%20in%20your%20fridge%20and%20whatever%20happens%20to%20be%20hanging%20out%20in%20the%20garbage%20can.%20Best%20to%20just%20not%20have%20it%20in%20the%20house.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETHE%20HORROR!%20THE%20TORTURE!%20I%20cried%20a%20little%20inside%20every%20day.%20Mostly%20about%20missing%20the%20shows%20I%20like.%20Not%20so%20much%20about%20eating%20nothing%20but%20cereal,%20take%20out%20pizza,%20and%20peanut%20M&Ms%20for%20three%20days%20straight.%20I%20guess%20I%20was%20okay%20with%20that.%20You%20know,%20for%20the%20cause.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20is%20my%20kind%20of%20meal%20%E2%80%93%20dark%20brown,%20caramelized,%20sweet%20and%20savory%20deliciousness.%20There%20is%20something%20about%20deep,%20dark%20sauce%20that%20I%20just%20can%E2%80%99t%20resist.%20It%20just%20screams%20flavor%20to%20me.%20It%E2%80%99s%20cooked%20in%20one%20skillet%20on%20the%20stove%20top%20making%20it%20pretty%20much%20the%20perfect%20one%20dish%20meal.%20The%20original%20recipe%20calls%20for%20sweet%20Italian%20sausage%20but%20I%20only%20had%20hot%20on%20hand%20I%20really%20enjoyed%20the%20bit%20of%20heat%20in%20the%20background%20with%20the%20sweet%20onions%20and%20braising%20liquid.%20You%20can%20serve%20it%20with%20just%20about%20any%20starch%20you%20have%20on%20hand,%20pasta,%20potatoes,%20rice.%20I%20bet%20it%20would%20be%20delicious%20with%20polenta.%20Couscous%20would%20work%20too.%20Whatever%20you%E2%80%99ve%20got!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20guess%20you%20could%20call%20this%20my%20last%20meal.%20What%20a%20way%20to%20go!%20WIN!%20My%20Iowa%20kitchen%20is%20officially%20closed.%20I%20hope%20the%20next%20owner%20enjoys%20it%20as%20much%20as%20I%20did!%20It%E2%80%99s%20hard%20to%20say%20when%20I%E2%80%99ll%20see
